Hello, this is Pao.
Today’s recipe features tender chicken and seasonal daikon radish, gently simmered in a rich tomato sauce.
Simply add all the ingredients to a rice cooker and let it do the work!

Enjoy melt-in-your-mouth chicken and juicy, flavorful daikon in this easy and comforting dish.

Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

Chicken thighs…2 pieces
Daikon radish…400g
*1 : Salt and pepper…a small amount
*1 : Grated garlic…1 clove
*1 : Flour…2 teaspoons
*2 : Canned diced tomatoes…1 can (400g)
*2 : Water…100ml
*2 : Consommé soup powder…1.5 teaspoons
*2 : Salt and pepper…a small amount

Instructions

1.Peel the daikon and cut into thick half-moon slices (2–3 cm thick).

2.Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces and place in the rice cooker. Add ingredients marked *1 and rub to coat.

3.Add the *2 ingredients. Press the daikon gently into the liquid to submerge.
Cook using the standard rice cooking mode.

Once finished, gently stir. The flour coating on the chicken adds a light thickness to the sauce.
The chicken becomes incredibly tender, and the daikon turns deliciously juicy.
Using thick daikon slices enhances the texture.
