It’s a sweet and spicy donburi that goes well with rice! !
Taiwanese standard pork rice (Lu Lohan)
A Taiwanese-style donburi made with thinly sliced block meat, boiled down in a salty-sweet sauce, and placed on top of rice.
The scent of five-spice powder is irresistible!
material
Pork block・300g
Boiled bamboo shoots・・・100g
Ginger 1 large piece (finely chopped)
Five-spice rice powder・・・1/4 teaspoon
star anise 2 pieces
★Japanese sake・・・50ml
★ Soy sauce・・・1.5 tbsp
★Oyster sauce・・・1/2 tbsp
★Sugar, mirin, vinegar・・・1 tbsp each
★Water・・・300ml
Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
Coarsely ground black pepper, a little
Rice, soft-boiled egg, all-purpose green onion, as desired
◎It’s OK without bamboo shoots.
Adding a couple of shiitake mushrooms is also delicious.
For the star anise, break off the part that looks like a star. Prepare two of these.
The amount of five-spice powder and star anise is enough for children to eat,
If you don’t like the smell, you can eat it deliciously without adding spices.
how to make
1, Cut the pork block meat into 4 cm long and 1 cm pieces.
Pork belly block or pork shoulder loin block is recommended.
2, Cut the boiled bamboo shoots into 1cm squares.
3.Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan and grill the meat from Step 1.
◎At this point, wipe off the oil from the frying pan with kitchen paper for a refreshing finish.
I removed about 3 sheets of kitchen paper.
When the color of the meat changes, add ginger and bamboo shoots and fry.
When the meat is slightly browned, add five-spice powder and fry.
4.Add ★ and star anise, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
If you run out of water on the way, add water.
If you have fried onions, add them for a richer flavor.
5.After 20 minutes, it will boil down and thicken. Sprinkle with coarsely ground pepper to enhance the flavor. If you want to make it thicker,
Add water and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Pour the meat over the rice and top it with green onions to complete! !
Adding a soft-boiled egg makes it mellow and delicious.
Sprinkle with coarsely ground black pepper to taste.
If you like it spicier, add a little more five-spice powder.
