Hello! This is PAO.
It’s easy, just stir-fry bitter melon and bacon with olive oil and garlic!
This bitter gourd recipe is perfect as a snack (^^♪

Ingredients (for 2 people)

Bitter melon…1 piece
Bacon…2 pieces
Garlic…1 clove (chopped)
Anchovy fillets: 2 pieces (chopped)
Chili pepper: 1/2 (sliced)
Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
Pepper… a little
Olive oil…1 tablespoon

How to make

1.Cut the bitter gourd in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and pulp. Cut into 5mm width.
Cut the bacon into 1cm wide pieces.

2.Heat the olive oil and garlic in a frying pan over low heat, and when fragrant, add the anchovies and stir-fry. Add bitter gourd and bacon and stir-fry.

3.Once the bitter gourd has softened, add salt and pepper and it’s done!

Bitter melon is delicious when it has a crunchy feel to it.

If you don’t like the bitter taste of bitter gourd, rub it with salt, leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse it off before using.
