Hello! ! This is PAO.

It’s a chicken and burdock dish! !
The aroma and umami of burdock make chicken stewed in tomato delicious.

Tomatoes and soy sauce go well together.
The soy sauce enhances the flavor of the tomato sauce, and the burdock root soaks into the flavor, making it delicious.
This is a chicken dish that can be prepared in advance.

Ingredients (for 3-4 people)

Chicken thigh・2 pieces
◎Salt・・・1/2 teaspoon
◎ Garlic・・・1 clove (grated)
◎Sake: 1 tablespoon
◎Wheat flour: 1.5 tablespoons
Onion…1 piece
Burdock…1 piece
*Canned boiled tomatoes…1 can
*Consommé (granules): 1 teaspoon
*Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
*Pepper…a little bit
*Water…100ml

How to make

1.Scrape off the skin of the burdock with the back of a knife. Slice diagonally into 5mm wide slices, soak in water to remove scum.
Cut the onion into 1cm wide pieces.
Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and rub in the ◎ ingredients.

2.Layer the onion and burdock in a rice cooker, and spread the chicken out so that it does not overlap as much as possible.
*Put it on and turn it on in normal rice cooking mode!

3.When the switch is turned off, stir gently, sprinkle with pepper, and it’s done!
If it’s not salty enough, add more salt.

The meat is melty! ! The burdock root is very soft.

It is OK to keep it warm for about 30 minutes.
If you keep it warm for too long, the burdock will lose its texture.
If you are not going to eat it right away, remove it from the rice cooker, store it, and warm it up in the microwave when you are ready to eat it.
