Delicious marinated turnips♪
I love the sweetness of the turnips and the bitterness of the leaves.
This time, I made a marinade by adding soy sauce and grain mustard to the vinegar base!
Adding a little soy sauce to the marinade makes it easier to mix with the turnips.
Ingredients (for 4 people)
Turnip…3 pieces (300g)
Turnip leaves: 2 pieces
Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
*Vinegar: 3 tablespoons
*Sugar: 1 tablespoon
*Soy sauce: 1 teaspoon
*Grain mustard: 1/2 tablespoon
*Olive oil: 1.5 tablespoons
How to make
1.Peel the turnips and cut them in half lengthwise. Turn the cut side down and slice thinly.
2.Cut the stems into 1cm wide pieces. Cut the leaves into small pieces.
3.Place the turnips and leaves in a bowl, add salt and toss to coat. It will soften after 10 minutes, so squeeze out the water thoroughly.
4.Add * to another bowl and mix thoroughly.
5.Add the squeezed turnip leaves from step 3 to step 4 and mix. Finish by sprinkling with coarsely ground pepper! !
