Today’s recipe is a great way to use up cabbage—served as a warm and hearty hot pot!

We’ve added potatoes and corn, which go perfectly with the rich miso butter flavor.
A satisfying four-ingredient hot pot with cabbage, pork, potatoes, and corn!

Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

Thinly sliced pork belly (for shabu-shabu) … 350g
Cabbage … 1/4 head
Potatoes … 3
Canned corn … 1/2 can
*Dashi broth … 4 cups (800ml)
*Miso … 4 tbsp
*Sake, mirin … 3 tbsp each
*Garlic … 1/2 clove (sliced)
*Doubanjiang (chili bean paste) … 1/2 tsp (optional)
Butter … 15g
Pepper … to taste

Instructions

1.Cut the cabbage into 1 cm-wide pieces. Peel and roughly chop the potatoes.

2.In a pot, bring the *ingredients to a boil. Add the cabbage core and potatoes and simmer until tender.

3.Add the cabbage leaves and cook until soft. Then add the pork slices, separating them as you add.

4.Finally, add the corn and butter. Stir gently, season with pepper, and serve.
